The art style on this one is cool. Even the framey explosions look appropriate. Definitely a good start. You might want to make it so the exploding enemies can't kill your ship though. That was a little unexpected.

Yeah, theres a couple of bugs that need fixing before I present it next week for my project, that is on my list, along with cleaning up the code abit. Thanks for pointing this out.
