GameProjects.com Project - Snowball Fight! Comments

Snowball Fight is a videogame recreation of everyone's favorite childhood wintertime activity! It's a fast-paced game for 1-4 players that captures the frenzy and excitement of a snowball fight.

Hit your opponents with snowballs while avoiding being hit yourself. Pick up Power Ups for special (temporary) abilities. Play against your friends and computer players.

The version here is the one submitted to the Dream-Build-Play competition. It's the Xbox 360 executable distributed as a Creator's Club package. Using it requires an XNA Creator's Club membership.

For a Windows installer, please go to:

http://www.bayougames.com/SnowballFight/

Ah yes, a snowball fight. Perfect timing for the summer...seriously though, this is fun stuff. I didn't have anyone to play with, but it was fun competing against the computer. A nice simple game. Cute music too.

I noticed that you color-coded the P1/P2/P3/P4 icnos but not the players themselves. I guess you'll change that for the final release? It might also be a good idea to color code the snow piles since the player can't take snow from the opponents' piles.

Hey, it's starting to get hot enough here in DC that I wish I could roll in some snow a little!

Thanks for the feedback, Derek. Actually the players' scarves are color-coded, although if you didn't notice that then it clearly needs to be more obvious. The characters will be changing anyway -- I'll make sure the new versions are more clearly colored.

A very nice, little game.
Perhaps you can implement more than one level in one of the next versions and some new power ups (like "super snow balls [very great]" or "slow motion").

Thanks, Steve. Yep, those suggestions are already on my list of things to add so they'll definitely be in a future version. But thanks for the feedback -- it's good to hear what people want to help me prioritize.
